Initial Design Evaluation

Navigation

Clients and stylists have relayed how difficult navigation on the site was, this issue was expressed by a range of people from technologically experienced and those with no experience with technology. I simplified the design with a clear distinction between pages as opposed to the single-page design that was included and used block styling for visual clarity.

Location

As a receptionist, I've constantly come in contact with clients struggling to find the salon or even being late for their appointments because of the confusion when looking for the building.

Stylists

Stylists have discovered that the current site does not include their Ranking/Cache. This can cause confusion when booking because service pricing varies based on the stylist's experience and so does their title. They're categorized as Apprentice, Protege, Junior, Senior, and Master stylist. I kept the images that were administered through the salon and made sure to link their current Instagram. I also added a section for stylists' work to allow clients to see more of what is possible by each of the artists and allow a creative choice to be made.
